For further information regarding FCVB2012 click here For further information regarding ISH2012 click here For further information regarding ECCR workshops at the ISH meeting click here In 2012, the ECCR will have two major activities: (1) contribution to Frontiers in Cardiovascular Biology (FCVB), London, March 2012: (2) contribution to 24th Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension, Sydney, 29 Sept - 4 Oct 2012. FCVB2012 The ECCR is a member of the Council for Basic Cardiovascular Sciences (CBCS), a council under the European Society of Cardiology. The CBCS holds a conference every two years, with title Frontiers in Cardiovascular Biology (FCVB). The next conference (FCVB2012) will be held 30 March - 1 April 2012, London, UK. Member societies of the CBCS do not usually hold their own conferences in the same year as a FCVB conference. Accordingly, the ECCR will not hold its own meeting in 2012, the next meeting being scheduled for October 2013 in Nice. The ECCR is hosting a symposium on Atherosclerosis and the Young Investigator's competition. Programmes are available by clicking on the above link. ISH2012 The ECCR will be holding two workshops at the ISH meeting in Sydney next year (29 Sept-4 Oct) together with the High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia. Each workshop has 7-8 presentations each with three senior speakers and 4-5 early career researchers (3+4 from each society for both workshops). The speakers are divided equally between the ECCR and the HBPRCA, so that each society will support three senior speakers and 4-5 early career researchers.
